An editor of mine, a while ago, had the good sense to ‘broaden’ or ‘widen’ my paragraphs. In my submitted piece, I sometimes stopped a paragraph quite short, but the editor widened the paragraph out, to add to that paragraph the next one after it, so it became one paragraph. In the end, it worked.

And yes. I mostly find it interesting to see where editors have edited or haven’t so much. It’s good to know and compare my submission with the published product.

Thanks for summarizing that rather wordy post back then. I hope it was more than a useless piece of information 🙂 . I think there’s a principle in there. Editors always know best 🙂
